Fine catering in Washington, DC — Because Melt Catering is a very small company, we are able to offer a very personal approach to catering. Rather than offer a list of pre-set menus, we prefer to have a brief chat on the phone regarding the details of your event, your tastes and those of your guests, special dietary requirements, budget, and style. We treat our clients as friends, and each menu we offer is unique to that event. We don't want your buffet to look like it rolled out of an hors d'oeuvres factory; we want your guests to be "wowed".
Entertaining your friends or associates doesn't have to be stressful. Running around a hot kitchen is no way to get ready for an enjoyable evening. Let us handle the details so you can greet your guests feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy your party. We can do as much or as little as you need us to do, including planning the party and menu, figuring out logistics (i.e., how your party will "flow"), arranging for rental items, and providing staff. We can also do as little as dropping off a tray of hors d'oeuvres, beautifully garnished and ready to serve.

Drop-off Catering
For less formal occasions, we can drop off party food ready to go on high end disposable platters. We can also prepare a night's worth or a full week's worth of dinners ready to go. This is a great gift idea for new parents. Gift certificates are available.
Rentals
Our rentals are contracted through www.dcrental.com. Once our clients have made their rental selections, Melt Catering will take care of ordering them and planning for delivery and pickup of rental items.
Ice Delivery
We can arrange ice delivery for most venues in the $70–$150 range, depending on the size of the event.
Kids
Although most adults agree that our creations are delicious, some of the "under five" set disagrees. We'd be happy to prepare bag lunches with sandwiches, fruit, and cheese cubes to fill the needs (and tummies) of your miniature guests.
Our Policy on Brides and Grooms
It can be difficult to get a chance to sit down and eat on your big day; it is our policy to always prepare a plate for the bride and groom to enjoy whenever they get a break.
